Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach Central

I checked in yesterday for a 2-week stay. I was looking for an affordable place near Deerfield Beach that had a kitchen and allowed pets.

The room I booked is a studio with a king-sized bed and kitchenette. It’s cute and looks exactly like the pictures on the website. Everything is clean and the shower is great (the shower controls aren’t under the shower head, hallelujah).

My only disappointments with the room are: 1) there is no coffee maker, which is odd for a room with a kitchen. They serve coffee downstairs at 7 a.m., but I’m an earlier riser than that. 2) I constantly hear the family in the room next to me, even with white noise. This includes a whiny child and very vocal mom. The headache-inducing family isn’t the hotel’s fault, but the thin walls, maybe.

But overall, I’d recommend this place. It’s clean and well-managed with friendly staff.

This place is clean and homey. The staff is very friendly and helpful when we needed anything. The room had a nice layout and the bed was super comfy.

TV shuts off constantly. I would have given 5 stars if the room had been clean. The staff were professional and friendly. Common areas were well maintained. The room was not properly cleaned, there was dust bunnies on almost every lamp fixtures.

Very good for a flash trip. I visited Residence inn at Marriott Pompano Beach in 2020’s Black Friday and stayed for the next 3 nights. The hotel is small but has all what you need for a flash trip. I sent some packages and the staff picked those up for me without extra charge. The staff was friendly, the room was comfy and had all what we needed. The only thing to be improved is the proactive communication. The hotel webpage states that breakfast was included however the first morning there wasn’t any and we were told that only during weekdays breakfast was available, just to find out the next day that it wasn’t the case. Also, hot breakfast is not available, what you are given is a yogurt, an apple, coffee and cookie, so if you are looking for a hot breakfast this may not be the option, at least until the Covid situation is better handled by businesses. Besides that, everything was good.

Peaceful stay, but no towels for over 24hours. Saw 2 baby roaches on the last day so that made my experience even worse. The stove had tape on it. The shower did not have a door so leaked on the floor whenever showering. The couch was dirty and had food crumbs and stains on them. The staff was nice, just was not as clean as I would have desired. I sterilized the room upon entry and was surprised at the amount of dirt found on the beach wipes.
