Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach/Oceanfront

WOW! The staff at this hotel is just INCREDIBLE! After a rough go at a nearby hotel (I’ve never had to change hotels before and was feeling quite stressed), these folks were determined to ensure that I had a good experience from the very first phone call to the end of my stay. A front desk staff like this is rare and they refreshing. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We chose this hotel for a one night stay, while in transit from one location to another, based off the ability to do laundry, swim and get free breakfast. The first room didn’t have laundry, so we were moved. The second wouldn’t dry any of our clothes, so we were left packing a bunch of wet dirty stuff before flying into our next destination. First world problems — yes — but a big disappointment when we chose this foe the ability to do laundry.

Pool is small but nice and clean. Beach was pretty but beware of jelly fish. Exterior grounds of the hotel are far superior than inside. Inside of hotel is a bit dirty and run down (dents on wall, stains on floor, our bathroom door wouldn’t shut, etc). We had a suite for five with kitchenette which was huge — came with one plate and one glass.

Need valet to park.

The beach experience was fantastic. The pool and bar were nice and loved the view we had from our room but if you’re looking for a glorious room, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Half the room was having issues when we were there and despite us going over the issues, we had to nag staff to get it fixed. The staff was nice for the most part as well.

This was a great hotel. I average 100 Marriott stays a year, and this is one of my favorites!
The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Hotel is a little older, but clean and well appointed. Easy access to the beach. Big shout out to Jason the manager! He really helped us out with an issue. Can’t wait to visit again!!

Staff was incredibly friendly and concerned for anything that went on during my stay! Well worth it just for that! Rooms were clean and spacious. Only thing to complain about was the breakfast. Quality was not great and the packaging was wasteful but other than that, Everything else makes this place a great value as a vacation spot!
