Pompano Beach Elementary School

I went there 2006 to 2012 and it was a great school and i highly reccomend you to send your child or children there

I went to this school in 85. I Beat the snot out one bully and the principal hit us both in ass with a large wooden paddle! One whack each. I was 10 and will never forget it. It was the first time I learned that defending yourself could land you in hot water. I hope that kid I put in a headlock and was choking the crap out of never forgets it either. He’s probably dead or in prison.

I have mixed emotions about this school. My daughter was severely bullied by children at this school. She went to an after care program with only children from this school. And they always bullied her in the after care program. There was one in her class that would bully her. She would be friends with her one minute the next minute she was throwing things at her or pushing her down.

The principal was alright. He appeared at PTA meetings etc. The assistant principal was very warm and compassionate. She was on top of things and she knew children by name and sometimes by behavior. She once talked to me until late around 11pm when I needed to discuss with her the bullying situation going on. She was very much there for me and my kid even in her busy schedule.

I loved her kindergarten teacher. She had been there for a while so she knows exactly what the children need. She did really good job with communication. She is now retired (we still keep in touch). I enjoyed being welcomed onto the PTA it was myself and only a hand full of other parents apart of it. One in particular was able to be there always. She carried the PTA tremendously. It would be better if more parents were actively involved with their kids. The children love to see you there and it allows you to share your day with them in an environment where they are at comparable to the amount of time they spend at home. I was able to assist with a few events and a talent show. It was all too fun. Also the yearbook. See parents? Getting involved you get to do some pretty cool stuff. If it weren’t for the disrespectful children that went to that school and the bullying that was allowed I would give this school 5 stars. I don’t even know how a bullying situation this bad can be fixed but they should surely explore it and try to get it down. My daughter only attended kindergarten here.

ive been bullied there before and it was like hell I did not like the way the kids treated me and I did not like the way the teachers treated the kids like dogs hitting them my little sis got hit from a teacher and my mom had reported them and nothing nothing the cops did because they have no rights to touch them and also they didn’t get fired at all to😡

The school is big in bullying and sadly nothing gets done about it. my daughter over and over gotten hurt and picked on.. and theres nothing done about it . bad school
