Firi Bistro Asian Cuisine

I’m a bit perplexed. I first tried Firi a month ago and instantly fell in love. The general chicken was unlike any I’ve had before. It was juicy, actually seemed like they breaded fresh chicken and cooked it themselves, and the sauce was sweet but had good heat with pepper flakes. So impressed and instantly a new favorite. I tried their sesame chicken last week and was underwhelmed, but still pretty good.

Fast forward to tonight, I go back to the general chicken and it’s completely different from what I remember it from a month ago. It was dry, very chewy, and seemed to be a different texture from prior. I don’t know if they switch methods and prepare pre-packaged chicken or what, but it was below the standard of even your run-of-the-mill chinese takeouts joints. I tried to different pieces to see if maybe it was just an off piece or two, but it wasn’t. Threw it out…So disappointing – not sure if I’ll try Firi again unfortunately.

I made a take-out order for delivery Saturday, 2/27, and there was a misunderstanding about leaving the food by my front door and ringing the bell. The details are not important, but what is important is that the owner, Marie, called me personally to apologize for any inconvenience and came across as a warm and caring person. I thought this was above and beyond that the owner would call on a take-out order. I was so impressed and taken by her sincerity and utter professionalism that I wanted to share it for all her other customers to know. Not only that, but she told me that there would be a 20% discount on my next order. I cannot speak loudly enough about the spirit this restaurant has! Plus, the food is out-of-this world delicious! You will not be disappointed.

The best Asian food I have ever ordered for delivery! Salt and pepper squid tentacle is my favorite! You will not be disappointed! And very friendly too

Fantastic service, menu and prices. We felt at home from the time we came in the door until the time we left. The General Tzo was excellent and there were generous portions. This was a great find and it’s my new favorite Chinese place.

I chose this place at random because the reviews were the best. I live 5 minutes away from two Asian restaurants and am glad I made the 15 minute drive… The fried rice and ribs are fantastic. The egg roll was made perfectly. If you want it done right go here. I’m eating as in typing…. 😂😂😂HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!
