Worst experience EVER!!! My family and I went to accompany my sister to find her prom dress. The second we arrived we were given a snotty attitude. Although we were there on time, we were told to walk around for about an hour or more because they weren’t ready for her. After walking around, they called her cell and said they were finally ready. When my sister said we would walk over and be there in a minute they again gave her that same attitude asking, “How long are you going to take? We’re going to have to skip you if you take too long.” She then ran over, but still had to wait a few minutes to be called in. When the women finally called her in they immediately began forcing her to try on the dresses THEY wanted her to try on. The first dress she came out with was paired with the most miserable look I have ever seen her face. Unfortunately, my mother had gone to the bathroom when my sister came out. So, I told the woman “I feel like the design is not flattering on her and that color makes her look pale. She looks better in deep purples/reds.” The woman proceeded to give me the most offending attitude I’ve ever received. She asked me, “Where is your mother?” I’m 24. I’m very well an adult, entitled to have my own opinions, and voice them. When I advised her that she was in the bathroom and she would be out shortly she responded, “Well, we don’t have any of those colors and anyways I like this color on her.” I decided to disregard the comment in hopes that I would not ruin my sister’s experience. While in the dressing room trying on another dress my sister decided to send me a picture of herself with the text, “HELP ME.” So I called her and went to the front to see if I could help her. The woman who was at the front on the computer said, “Nobody is allowed in there and if that’s her in the phone tell her to come out right now and give it to me. She’s not allowed to have that in there.” Three women then proceeded to bombard her and reprimand her for having her cellphone, although she was never advised that cellphones weren’t allowed. The attitude I was given made me so incredibly infuriated that I decided to walk away into the mall and avoid confrontation at all costs. What I found out afterwards from my parents was the woman from the front wanted to come out and yell at me for having called my sister in hopes to help her pick out dresses in the first place. Let me say that I am so glad I was not there because there would’ve been a serious issue. In addition, they asked her about three times on about three different dresses if the dress she had on was “it.” and would tell her to go by a wall to take a picture with it. I even felt like her hand was being forced. Long story short, my sister ended up leaving in tears with a dress she didn’t like because the ridicule, embarrassment, and attitude became to much. If you or your child want to have even a half decent prom experience, I urge you to not look to this place. The fact that the dresses are free does not mean that the girls have to be pushed into wearing something they are not comfortable in. I hope they either find new volunteers/employees. Prom is supposed to be a magical experience, not a miserable one. I hate to see the way they have behaved with other young girls.
