Wanted to attend broward college but I took classes at an accredited online university and they said that they only accept credits from nationally accredited schools only regionally accredited schools. If the school is recognized by the us dept of education it should be accepted for credit right?

On 12/03/2020 I placed an order on Broward College Website requesting two copies of my transcript, order number 0MB739481. Today is 12/28/2020 and I still have not received those transcripts. I have called several times requesting to speak with a supervisor and I am always told that no one is available. I have verified my mailing address numerous times so it is clear that’s the correct information is on file. Whenever I do get a representative, I am told to contact Credential Solutions/Parchment who in turn tells me to to contact the school (Broward College) because they have limited access to my information.

On 12/15/2020, after placing several calls Joann O’Neill-Schwartz confirmed in an email that he/she requested to have copies sent to me. Surprisingly, I still can’t get them. No one can provide me with a mailed date, tracking information or estimated delivery date. Had I known that the level of service was this poor, I would have completed my Bachelors Degree elsewhere. With that said, I sincerely hope that this matter will be addressed as I cannot request my transcripts from another school. If the matter is resolved, I will return to this page share my next experience.

Well kept campus. The landscaping is very well done and campus is clean. A good local resource and the library is very nice.

The struggle of being a first generation student and having no absolute guidance in this school shouldn’t come to anyone as a shock. They only care about financial aid funds and making sure to claim your grant money on a 1098T form without giving it to you. This is the only college that I know who doesn’t have a direct line to scholarships department. If you aren’t aware enough you will lose valuable time and money. When you ask for information to the scholarship department they only give out an email with no name or number. If that isn’t shady I don’t know what is. Please invest time into checking other options and maybe getting a mentor as a high school student.

Great campus location. Friendly staff. Great parking. Very convenient location off the Florida Turnpike. Also not too far from I-95. If you need to take classes here or use the Library on the Campus it is very easy to commute to this location.
