Carter Healthcare

My experience with Carter Health Care Agency was not favorable. First I called Carter the night I got home from the hospital to make sure that I would have someone here the next day. Not hearing from them, the next day at 10:35 AM I called once again. Was told that a nurse would call soon. The nurse called and said she would be here at 12 noon. Didn’t show up until close to 2 PM without a phone call nor an apology for being late. Told me, since being Saturday, she or someone else would return Monday. Phoned the agency at 10:30 AM Monday, was told that I was on the schedule for Tuesday. I explained that having an opened wound and doctor’s orders, I needed a nurse that day. Was told that a nurse would visit that afternoon. Three hours later I called again, and was told that I was not on the schedule. Spoke to the nursing supervisor. Was told that Medicare does not cover daily visits, which I know is not true, after having this same health issue 5 years ago, and Medicare covered every visit, and also that her agency does not over daily visits. In my opinion, there is a lack of communication within the department, and unprofessional behavior among it’s staff. I would not recommend this agency whatsoever.
