The tech was very nice and courteous, I feel bad that I have to leave this review, which could/should have been resolved by customer support. Mistakes happen, and that’s not the issue, but the refusal of customer support to even try to help fix the problem and leave me without AC for days, result in this review. There really isn’t any way within ADT to address my concerns.

First, the tech did not turn off breaker when changing thermostat, must have touched the common wire, and popped the fuse in the AC unit. Unit was not functioning when tech left. I wish I had time to test this stuff before they left, didn’t even cross my mind that they wouldn’t test it. Thermostat was installed with only screws, which pulled out when trying to remove thermostat to check wiring. I don’t understand why these thermostats can’t use a common screw pattern, they’re always the worst to install, so I get the problem there. But that’s why I didn’t want to DIY those like normal. One window sensor failed while they were here, they checked it, and then it failed about an hour after they left.

ADT customer service would not send a new tech the same day even though our AC was not functioning, apparently scheduled appointment for the next day, no call no show on day 2. No further communication with ADT since, despite knowing my AC was not functioning. One customer service phone person hung up on me, another blind transferred, was not able to speak with any supervisor, was told the local scheduling people only communicate via email with them. My real complaint is here with the refusal to even try to resolve the issue.

It was 86° and humid, got up to 80° in the house overnight. My poor 1 year old had to sleep all sweaty.

After trying for hours to fix the AC myself (moderately handy, but couldn’t find what ended up being a glass fuse in the Air handler), I had to get AC repairman to fix AC, window sensor still doesn’t work, and dreading changing the batteries in the thermostats since they’re going to pull out of the wall. My window thinks it’s open, so I can only arm the system in bypass mode apparently. Can’t spend another hour on the phone with CS.
ADT is the worst.

Omar , the ADT installer, was most efficient and professional. He made the instructions for working with my alarm system very easy for me to follow.

From the visit with my salesperson Angel Padron to the installation with Victor everything went well. They were both professional, informative and took the time to explain my alarm system upgrade. I’ve been with ADT for many years and Angel and Victor did a great job throughout the process.
