Trying to get referrels are like pulling teeth. Also, they insist on an office visit there before you can see a specialist even though they don’t have the expertise.

My husband was having shortness of breath episodes and our regular dr at Deerfield facility was on vacation so we were sent to Dr. Brown in Coconut Creek. He was absolutely fantastic – took several tests and diagnosed my husband with copd. Gave him 3 breathing treatments and sent him home with a loaned nebulizer and prescription for medicine for the nebulizer. By the time I got to the pharmacy on way home the prescription was waiting for us. That same evening a new nebulizer was delivered to our home. I cannot praise this physician enough!

Today I had the worst experience of my life with Dr Lee Brown with Senior Medical Associates in Coconut Creek. I chose Dr Brown as my Primary care physician on my new Aetna Advantage plan and today was my first appointment with the man! As a retired healthcare professional I have never met a more incompetent medical doctor and that is saying a lot! I am a pretty healthy 72 yr old with no major health issues. After a short review of my blood work we discussed me doing more exercise a losing weight both of which I was in agreement on. He then went to leave and I said ” wait a minute we need to review a couple of issues from my last year physicians and medical plan that must be addressed. I need to switch over my CPAP machine to a new Aetna Vender and need a authorization for this physical therapy I have a script for from my Neurologist. I believe it is your responsibility as my primary care Dr with Aetna to take care of these issues” At that point he launched into a tirade about how he didn’t use specialists and I was telling him what to do and I should go to someplace like the Cleveland Clinic. He said he wasn’t going to be my doctor and just walked out. His behavior was deplorable for a medical professional. As a primary care doctor for Aetna it is precisely his duty to coordinate a patients care. Aetna needs to take this man out of their system and he probably needs to be disciplined by the medical; ethics board !

Dr. Brown takes time to actually sit with you and educate himself about your health. He listened, has a calm personality and even calls you if needed. I was very pleased to choose this location with a doctor who is so attentive, his staff is also very nice too.

I have been going to this facility for over two years and have had nothing but great service
and the whole staff is very professional. The office is very neat and clean and the patients
are treated with great respect. Also, they go by appointment and are always on time with
no unnessary waiting. I would highly recommend this office to all my friends and family
that are seniors .
