I was unable to move do to excruciating pain. Dr Matos discovered that there was pressure on my spinal cord, which was stopping the blood flow and causing all the pain. Dr Matos performed my spinal surgery April 2011. I no longer suffer from that pain and I thank God for such a skilled surgeon. He explained all options to my husband and I. Dr Ricardo is a caring and a really good doctor!

Dr Matos- I have nothing But good things to say about his skill as a Surgeon…I was unable to walk most of the time from Spinal Stenosis and other issues. After years of Drs saying nothing could be done to reduce my pain, Dr Matos and Dr Maria De La Pena have provided Relief.

Dr. Matos and his staff have been skillfully guiding me through back procedures and therapy. I had a diseconomy followed up by a dural year repair in 2013. The only reason I stopped seeing him is bc I moved over 1.5 hours away. Although, my new doctors are NOT like him and his amazing staff. I’m thinking I might make the drive now. He takes the time to listen and has excellent beside manner. When I was in the hospital, he came at 9pm at night (after dinner as he promised) to discharge me. Circumstances pushed it later in the night, so it couldn’t be helped. But, he keeps his word. And he’s absolute skillful!

I Have a back injury that needs surgery , I called the office on Oct.8,9,10. I finely got a call back on the 23rd the nurse said she would get back to me. She never did! So I called again on Friday the 19. I was once again told they would get back to me. I have bone chip in my back I am in severe pain. I am now going to see to find someone who cares about there patients!

Dr. Matos is wonderful! He is a kind, empathetic, and very skilled surgeon.
I was in tremendous pain due to a compressed lumbar nerve. After reviewing options with me, he did a procedure on my spine and I feel SO MUCH BETTER.

Importantly, his staff is welcoming, efficient, courteous, and encouraging.
