1st Step Behavioral Health: Drug Rehab in Pompano Beach

My journey started here at First Step in 2018. Since then I have seen myself growing everyday because I didn’t know how to love myself let alone deal with real life. I could not have done that without the support of First Step and their
compassion, empathy, and patience. Shout out to all staff.

This is place is a life saver. Everyone in the staff is nice and they truly care for you not like most places. The program is awesome and helped me pinpoint a lot of issues I didn’t see. Vandy is a sweetheart and really goes out of his way to help you out.

First Step helped me tremendously. The staff is very understanding and compassionate. It was definitely an interesting and good experience being apart of intensive group therapy 5 days a week. The owner leads big group therapies at least 3 days a week and gets really involved with the clients; he pushes them to realize important things about themselves. The other cool thing about this place is that you were able to buy and cook your own food; this was my first time experiencing a rehab that you could do that at. If any of my friends back home in Ohio ever need somewhere to call my first recommendation would be First Step.

First step answered my call when I was on my 9th life and no one else would! I think it was about maybe 12 hours after our first contact that I was leaving on a jet plane like Peter Paul and Mary. I’ve been through the whole gambit of treatment centers and detoxes which all will say they are a family environment, but this place is the real deal. The owner is brilliant and actually does at least three whole days of groups with clients every week, you will never see that anywhere. Intensive therapy and 12 step recovery. The after care team is lovely, and committed to making sure the client has the best shot at an ongoing recovery. 10/10
Would go again, but obviously hope to never have to!

This place is different than any other rehab facility I have ever been. The staff is unbelievably helpful every way possible. The owner of the rehab comes in every singe day to run groups and you do not see that anywhere else. Their case managers Ron Patty and Gale are the best people I have ever met and when talking about legal situations or anything they know what they are doing. Would recommend to anyone with addiction or mental health to go here.
