Jacklin made the entire process of opening my business soo much easier. I’ve never done it before and she was very helpful and patient the entire time.

It is definitely frustrating and unpleasant the way in which the building deparment are issued in this city. Only by changing a window to do it according to the law I applied since March 1 of 2019 and 17 days later I have called 4 times and there is no answer, the project is about to be canceled by the owner, the window can not be ordered until it is approved by the building department, they do not have walk through as do other cities that solve small projects in minutes. It is not the first project that I develop in this city but it is the lack of interest, the lack of commitment and dedication to their work, the negligence. The next time someone offers me a project in this city, it really is to think it over very well as a contractor.

Welcome to modern civilization where E-services are utilized by even smaller and under funded cities than yourselves. Its a simple parking ticket! So, lets waist more paper, hunt down our check books, and purchases stamps for the snail mail system to delivery my citation to this old fashioned and out of date city.

About two or three years ago I noticed this dramatic New thing going on inside the city of Pompano. Everybody, and I mean everybody took time to smile and show you that they really wanted to serve the public. Unlike some government entities particularly at the federal level not one person was surly or mean or short tempered. Folks like Richard and Wade would take time to explain systems and why they work the way they do and actually make it easy to get through paperwork and forms etc.

You know how people act this way right after they come back from a motivational seminar or rally, but this is been going on every day for years, so…City of Pompano–you’re doing something right!
