Deerfield Highlands Nature Preserve – CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE (Closed Temporarily)

Very nice playground for the kids, the hiking area is wild and got lots of spurs so wear sneakers and long pants, the edge path for the maintenance people, well it’s littered by the thoughtless neighbors adjoining the nature preserve, they throw broken beer bottles and construction materials over the fence onto the path, NOT cool at all and a barking pit bull on the other side of the fence so don’t come here at night without a flashlight and a weapon.

Updates I haven’t been here in a few years the place looks like it’s gotten worse and a hoodrat businesses throw stuff above the fence into the trail now I remember why I stopped going here especially Benny’s Roofing services I’m sure their guys are throwing the stuff over the fence onto the back Trail they got third row idiots walking around yapping on their cell phone

This is basically just a playground, and there’s some sidewalk going around the preserve area. I came to look for some trails to walk but left a little disappointed. I could see it being a good place for families to being their kids for the playground, but don’t expect jogging areas! That being said, it’s a pretty area.

Very nice place to clear your head, hopfully a mosquito doesn’t bite you smh lol

A small natural area with a good size playground and decent amount of parking in an easy to access location. Not much to do here though.
