Doug Ritchey At Cross Country Mortgage

This is my first experience with CrossCountry Mortgage and I can say with absolute certainty that it will be my LAST! I am a realtor and the buyers of a house I’m selling are using CrossCountry Mortgage for their loan. Never again.
First, there was misrepresentation. I was apprehensive about accepting an offer with this lender, but I was told this mortgage would be fast tracked and close on the 21st of September. It is now the 10th of October, 2 extensions later, and the file is still in Underwriting.
Second, their customer service is poor; there have been no updates or explanations for the delays even though management is supposedly involved.
Third, their communication is even poorer. The buyer doesn’t even know what’s going on. He called the title company to try to get some information because he can’t get any response or answers from his own mortgage lender.
I would not recommend this lender or subject my sellers to a transaction where the buyer is using CrossCountry Mortgage.
