My grandmother called them to move her out of state, they never showed up, didn’t answer calls, took a $700 deposit from her and have yet to refund. They’ve been contacted twice now, the first time they said it’d be 7-10 for a refund and the second time (today) they told me they were not the company I was calling for. Either be professional and own up to what you’ve done and said or stop being a business, that’s ridiculous.

Not a Moving Company – they outside hire. They promise you they will follow you through all the way. They drop you the minute the movers arrive. They go through the checklist with you over and over and then the truck that arrived could only hold an apartment size belongings AND it cost an additional $1600.00. I had a 2200 sq foot house. Which they assured us, it would not happen. The day before you move, someone else calls and goes over the list and never mentions that storage charge more than doubles. No one called the day of the move or after the move. Not one call from them since they got my money. Hire a real mover (Atlas), not a subcontractor. When we called them, the day of the move, the young lady was super nasty and was told the people we had been dealing with, were no longer there. HIRE A MOVING COMPANY and don’t go through this nightmre.

I recently moved cross country and made the mistake of choosing First United. Setting it up was super easy, the reps were great and I had everything sorted out with minimal hassle.
Now lets get to the time to move out. They outsourced the job called Brooklyn Moving Company and they were awful.
They showed up a day late, they upped the price from the quote because although we could see their truck from my apartment, it was “too far”. They taped it all up, took it away and I figured the worst was over.
I drove across the country, with the thought of keeping my stuff in storage until I had my new place sorted out. They called me daily asking when they could deliver it. Despite me explaining each time that I needed a few days.
When I had my place, I set up the delivery and the delivery movers were way better than the pickup ones but it was a good thing I was paying attention because they almost gave me a bunch of stuff that wasn’t mine. The boxes were all beat to hell but my stuff was fine except for my bike. They had put packing tape around my seat which I thought was odd and once they left, I took the tape off and found that the seat was all torn up and they put the tape to hide it.
Overall, not worth the $350 over the quoted price for these guys.

Was Giving miss information from the Beginning. They then tried to increase the price over and over again without even moving my stuff. They told me that I was being under bid on cost and it would be roughly $700 more and I re-advised of what I had again and they said it would be even more. They said that i would receive a refund by the 17th of Jan. as they were the ones breaking the agreement. I have yet to see the refund to my card I used. Do not use this company they refer out to a third party trucking company for the actual move. They then called me at all hours of the night even after it was canceled. The sales people are charming and make everything sound so good and legit, but when it comes to the customer service for the move it has been a nightmare. Please be cautious. I don’t want to see anyone else scammed.

Horrible experience. They give you a good estimate and it turns out to be double. They continues to tell me lower numbers of boxes needed and I kept telling them I needed more. They said they would pack everything and then when I had already agreed then they told me they don’t pack what’s in your drawers. I got my own boxes and packed my chest of drawers. They told me they would pick up my stuff on Sunday or Monday. They called to verify my items and told me they wouldn’t give a specific day because they didn’t want me to make plans. Then on Friday at 3:19, I received and email that I had to confirm by 6 or they would reached me. I called at 7 and the number I was given was wrong. I found another number and spoke to someone that confirmed the number was incorrect and that I had been confirmed for Monday. Then I received a call from a guy that he was my driver and would be there at 11 on Sunday and not the confirmed Monday. He was 20 minutes late. For a 2 bedroom home, it took them 11 hours. The price presented was double the estimate. The people who move you are subleased by First United. When I called First United, no one answered. Oh and there’s a big deal that you have to pay in cash when you receive your items. I requested to see the movers driver’s license. It’s an expired work VISA. They said my stuff would be delivered on Tues or Wed and now they are saying Thursday. I pray I get my stuff! I’m worried with all the lies!
