We could not be happier with this establishment. We enrolled our boys in their summer camp program and were completely blown away… The instructors were amazing, the cost was completely reasonable and we had to fight with the kids to leave at the end of the day! We decided to enroll them in the aftercare program and have been equally impressed. It’s the little things they do like sending a picture of the kids practicing karate during the day that make this place so special. We are so excited to have found this “hidden gem”!!!

I only have great things to say about Fort Lauderdale Karate. It’s an AMAZING environment and GREAT teachers. Very accepting school and no egos whatsoever. I went to the teen and adult classes and learned so much in only 6 weeks. And each individual class is unique and fun. No matter in what physical condition you are in, it’s a great experience. I watched a little of the classes for younger students and the kids looked so happy. If you’re looking for a karate school, somewhere to learn self defense techniques or a unique workout – I highly recommend it!

I have never taken karate before, but wanted to try something new with a co-worker. We both had such a great experience at Fort Lauderdale Karate. Not only are the classes educational, but they are motivational. Sensei Josh is equally passionate about martial arts as he is teaching his students.

While classes were great, we both needed to focus on other priorities – however, we would be happy to join back once schedules permit in the future. I highly recommend Fort Lauderdale karate, especially to anyone who is trying to find a motivating, educational, fun and positive experience.

Great instruction and a nice environment for kids. My son enjoys going to karate class every week and the facility is clean and classes are well-organized. the instructors are nice and great with the kids and teach life lessons as well as karate!

I saw some reviews on this school on google, and seeing all of them positive, I had to give it a try. Was really looking for something to take up as a hobby and just wanted to be apart of something too. After being a student of this martial arts school for over 4 months, I can’t express how much joining Josh Barnard’s Martial Arts has exceeded my expectations. You learn at your own pace, there are other classes offered such as kickboxing mixed with cross-fit. My core has gotten stronger, and all around, never have been in such good shape. I took other martial arts years ago, and I have learned so much more in these 4 months, than I have nearly a years time when I first tried it 11 years ago. Everyone there gives you positive feedback and you get constructive critiques on your techniques to help you improve. You feel welcome when you walk-in, everyone is there to learn and have fun too. I highly recommend this to anyone. I even have some of my buddies thinking about stopping by.
