In February 2015 we had booked for one night only at this location.
We soon learned that it was a former hospital converted into a hotel by the clergy of the Ministry of Hope (Hope).
VERY modest bedroom and bathroom.
“Minimal” and poorly maintained furnishings.
Could not adjust the air conditioning / heating in our room.
Could not open the blind from the only window in our room. You couldn’t see the weather when you got up in the morning.
A single “double” bed for 2 adults whereas we normally offer at least one “Queen” or “King” bed.
Monastery decoration in your room and faded furniture.
Very little lunch.
No smoking & Prohibition of all alcohol in the building.
As a monastery, we would give it 4 stars. In fact, it’s a great place to spend a week of prayer, meditation, or a semi-closed retreat.
However, as a hotel, we give it only 1 star. We expected at least 2-3 star hotel service but that was not the case.
