I’ve been meaning to write this review, please read on as I’m providing many details. I went here 2/26/21. I went here because I found a Groupon online for this place. This girl is sweet but, there were several areas of discomfort during my time here, and I didn’t really know how to tell her.. I just sat there enduring the discomfort because frankly, I didn’t want my nails to end up messed up or incomplete. I came in with a gel manicure that I got a month prior at a different place, whenever I get my nails done, this is normal because I get my nails done every month for the past couple of years…She saw my gel nails, and to cut time on getting them off, she decided to drill most of my gel off. Usually my nail tech will slightly drill my gel nails and then allow my nails to soak for close to 5 minutes…soaking being the primary method of how the gel is removed. This did not happen here. She completely drilled my nails down then told me to let them soak. When I looked at my nails before placing them in the bowl of acetone, I kid you not, areas of my nails were TRANSPARENT because of all the drilling she did, it went past my gel and damaged my actual nails. Before I could say anything she said, “your nails are really thin.” To which I replied, “…My nails have never been drilled down this far” — Like, I do not have thin nails! Or at least DID NOT but, now I do. And, keep in mind, I was extremely upset in this moment but had no idea what to do — know what her response was? “Well, I didn’t want to wait all night for your gel to soak off.” Is that a good excuse to my nails being drilled down to a point of transparency?! My nails are now extremely flimsy. A contact lense is stronger than my nails now, seriously. In everyday life I now constantly feel like my nails will break because of how fragile they now are. I already know when I go see my usual nail person (I only tried someone new because of the Groupon and the location being close to home) my regular nail person is going to say, “WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR NAILS?!” I don’t even know how long it will take to get them back to being healthy strong nails again. And she didn’t even have gel powder to do a gel manicure, she only uses gel polish, which she told me as I came in but, I just tried to play it cool and settle. There were many areas of discomfort during this visit such as her face timing her fiancé while doing my nails and inappropriate conversation arising right in front of me as well as her feeling the need to show her facial reaction to him from something he told her – she took her mask completely off to show that her jaw dropped as a result of the news he told her..and she left it off…Until a few minutes later where I had to ask her to put it back on. Don’t get me wrong, my nails look cute, and seem ok to the natural eye..But they are badly damaged below this gel polish, which again I wish was powder because that’s seemingly stronger, etc. Look, overall, if you never get your nails done, buy the Groupon and go. Your nails will be fresh so there won’t need to be drilling. And you won’t care about the polish because you don’t know the difference between powders and polishes. And you’re saving a few bucks. Sure, risk it, you don’t even get your nails done regularly. But, If you regularly get your nails done, and you take pride in them, do not go here. Do not. I really was hoping I would have had a better experience because I like promoting small businesses but, this was the worst nail experience I’ve had in several years and if you’re reading this, I apologize that I didn’t say this to you first before writing the review but I didn’t even know how/what to say and didn’t want to end up having to walk out with bare flimsy nails. God I hope it doesn’t take too long for them to get healthy and strong again.
