It’s no secret that Florida has far too many animals in need of rescue. Especially large breed dogs. Well, this Labrador rescue is exceptionally well respected in the rescue community. They do such a great job of pulling dogs, fostering and rehoming. This rescue is run completely professionally and should be a beacon for other rescues to model best practices by. I’m always amazed and impressed.

We love working with the Lab Rescue of Florida! We have rescued two dogs now from them a yellow lab named Mobi and a black lab named Jimmy they work very hard to make sure that these dogs go to a wonderful home. Jimmy needed some veterinary care and the Lab Rescue took care of everything which was amazing. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Adopted Allie (Alice) 2 years ago, most lovable, bed hog, couch potato. Got her a 5 months old, and aside from being a little skiddish , a perfect lady. Thanks to Lab Rescue for doing a wonderful job. Dale McKay

This is a wonderful place. The people are amazing. Everyone is a volunteer. They save so many beautiful dogs, that otherwise would be destroyed. Thank-you for all you do……

If you currently have any dogs in your household that are not “altered” according to Vicki, you won’t be approved to adopt a lab. Sad part is I adopted a lab from this organization over 10 yrs ago and that lab was with my current unaltered lab with no issues at all. It would be appreciated prior to an adoption fee a criteria is provided so that you are better informed in order to apply for an adoption or not. Seems like an easy way to get 25 bucks from someone who can genuinely adopt a lab and give it a great life but then get turned down over the fact that I don’t plan on neutering my lab for my own reasons and don’t plan on breeding him either. Oh well I guess I can just buy a lab or puppy and start all over again if that is the case.
