I had major foot surgery and have been with Dr. Mills for many years, he is a highly experienced Orthopedic Surgeon and his entire staff is great. I would only go to see Dr.Mills for care of my charkot foot. Thank you Dr. Mills and your entire staff for your wonderful care.

I waited an hour from my appoint time. One hour. Not one person on his team ever said “oh, I’m sorry he’s running late” “he’ll be in shortly”, nothing like that – they just let me sit in there for an hour, waiting – as though they are used to not being on schedule. I left without being seen. 15-20 minutes late is one thing. An entire hour without explanation is plain rude. It’s apparent his time is important but his patient’s time is not.

I’m 34 years old and just had a reconstructive surgery on the left foot at Holy Cross May 22 2019 after a few consultations with Dr Mills. Can’t say enough about this guy, you just need to meet him and his expertise in what he does exudes in his impeccable bedside manner and his ability to connect with patients. He has a special level of care that I’m not sure is teachable. Honestly, I was not confident enough to get surgery to correct a flat collapsed foot that prevented me more and more from doing things I wanted to do (snowboarding, yoga, hiking, etc.), until I met Dr. Mills. I think my life will take a different trajectory now due to this investment early on in my life, would not have been able to see the light nor have the want without someone referring me to him. If you need something done to your foot, you want to see this guy. I had to stay overnight and was worried my toes were still numb at 9pm (due to the nerve block), instead of the nurse telling me that, Dr. Mills has them call him, he came back in personally just to tell me its normal and everything is ok. I could have just taken that message from the nurse via him telling them over the phone, but he came back to the hospital. I couldn’t believe it, again it’s a special level of care that you feel you’re in the best hands possible. Yes, these specialist ortho surgeons have to go to lots of school and be top 1% of intelligence and dexterity to the general population but sometimes I feel there are ones that were just born to do this….Dr. Mills was born to do what he does.

Dr Robert Mills is an outstanding orthopedic surgeon who performed reconstructive surgery on my ankle, which was broken from a snowboarding injury. Dr. Mills is unique in so many ways. He uplifts patient’s spirits, provides world class medical services and genuinely cares about his patients. He understood me, and my passion for sports and helped me make the best decisions to ensure my ankle would fully recover. He not only performed a perfect surgery but also worked with me in the aftermath through Physical Therapy. I was snowboarding the following season and I owe that to Dr Mills.

Dr Mills was the 4th consult I saw for my bunion surgery. The good thing was all of the doctors I saw agreed on the specific type of bunion surgery. I found out there are many types, however it all depends on your bunion and your growth. Dr Mills was highly recommended so I decided to have him do my surgery. First let me say, he’s personable, good looking and has a great bedside manner, can’t say that about all doctors. I did both bunions 5 weeks apart because he wanted no weight bearing on the surgical foot for at least 5 weeks. Whatever he did to my bunion he did it well. I came home feeling no pain and took my pills around the clock for four days straight and then I was good without any pain pills. When I went back for my two week check up, which is when they remove my stitches, I said I’m feeling a little discomfort that I didn’t have before. He said, “you do know I broke your foot in two places and shaved the bone!” I just laughed and of coarse I knew what he did, but think about that….. I was not in excruciating pain, after two weeks I had some discomfort. I was so sorry I waited so long to do it. I should have done it while my kids were teenagers and driving so they could have helped me get around and go to the store for me. If you need bunion surgery go see Dr Mills. I am now 5 months post op from the first surgery and almost 4 months post op from second surgery and my feet look great and ladies, I am wearing heels again!!!
