The Westin Fort Lauderdale

I stay here every week for work. The rooms are always very clean and nice; the hospitality is great, but it’s the people who take care of me that make all the difference. Raphael is fantastic and really cares about the quality of my stay. And Edwin at the bar makes you feel very welcomed indeed. Keep up the good work guys!!!

The hotel restaurant was closed entirely. There is no mention of that on the website.
The Gift shop is closed entirely. There is no mention of that on the website.
The hotel bar was only open from 5pm to 10pm even on weekends. However the bartender was great!!
The We Have Starbucks advertising is misleading. They have a coffee stand in the lobby that sells Starbucks brand coffee. The Counter lady was rude and impersonal.

I stayed here for two week this pass month . an it’s a beautiful hotel but very low on staff the staff does not have enough support. there one place to get breakfast items in the morning an the line is always long . there only one person who works the bar/dinner area every day . my room smelled like dog , even after getting it cleaned by room service . the staff is great they just do not have enough support with how busy it is . The pool area definitely could be cleaned up a little better , I ask if the fire pit could be turned on an he said it was just for looks, cigarette butts all in .

I stay in Marriott for work and so spend about 1/2 the year in them. I’ve never left a review for a hotel in my life. This place was awful. Not only completely outdated and filthy, stained carpet, curtains etc. But it was as if they had just given up. Dirt, dental floss, towels all over the hallways. I’ve stayed in Days Inn by the side of the interstate that were way nicer than this. Unbelievable Marriott would even think of putting their usual outstanding name on this place. Ghetto to the hilt.

We stayed here for 3 nights in February! Absolutely loved this hotel! It was clean, everyone was so nice & when we called down to say our fridge didn’t work they sent someone with a new one in less than 5 minutes! Beautiful pool & fitness center was nicer than most! Hot tub wasn’t open when we went but it isn’t something we would use anyways. As most people say in the reviews some things are a little outdated in the room but nothing crazy. Food was great at the bar they have open.

It’s about a 15 minute drive from the beach and from the airport which was nice too!
