Expect a 35 min+ wait time and incompetent staff through the drive through! Do not come to this location if you want a great experience

This is a very negative review for this branch. I took a friend, Rose, to this 400 St Rd 7, Margate office to speak to someone about her acct. Wells Fargo recieved her $1200 stimulus check but since she has a seperate IRS tax refund issue, these Margate Wells Fargo Bank branch employee’s are telling her the stimulus check is being held due to a negative acct. We told this uninformed employee, and a seperate person on the phone, You (Wells Fargo) can not hold the stimulus check even in a negative acct balance situation. The stimulus check was for Covid 19, assistance, as people are unemployed and need cash for food. Rose was told time and time again, “We’re not holding your stimulus money, the bank is.” Wow. Read that again. You are the bank, mam.
Rose needs this $1200.00 for food for herself and to take care of her mother, as her airport hours have been cut and she was let go from Macy’s due to the store closure for Covid 19. Rose was told the bank is taking the $1200 gov stimulus money due to her negative balance. How can a Wells Fargo employee be so uninformed. This stimulus money can not be held even if the tax payers account is negative in balance. How do I know this, yet Wells Fargo Bank employees at the Margate Branch do not? Maybe an educated Wells Fargo employee can read this and let me know when Rose can get her needed stimulus money for food. I am speaking for Rose as her english is not perfect. An entirely seperate issue would be the Margate Wells Fargo Bank employee who would not allow me to explain the situation for Rose, due to her english not being that good when explaining this whole situation. Poor people skills from these employees, the way Rose was spoken to and treated was “troubling.

The only WF I don’t encounter any problems with, staff is always polite and fast! Nadine is by far the best manager and person I can always come to and she knows exactly what to do and where to direct me! Love this place! And will always cash my checks here !

These people seem like they actually like their job, so that makes everything a lot faster and easier. They are absolutely amazing at their job, I have not had any issues since I’ve been going there.
