I applied through indeed for the Travel Agent position got responded back to real quick. Two interviews later was offered the Travel Agent Sales position starting October 15th, Offer letter sent, all necessary paperwork completed even the I9 verification! Next thing I know I’m getting a call saying the training is canceled until next year August! Was then offered a choice of Customer Care or wait till next year! Okay I said I’ll do the Customer Care just to get in! I was so excited about working for a Travel Company period!! Then again nothing! I was to receive a new offer letter a call a email something but NOTHING!!!!No one was returning my emails!!( If I didn’t know better I would have said this was a scam)
I am a professional individual looking for a subsidiary income from a so-called well established company and this is the FIRST IMPRESSION! Now if it started out like this I can just imagine what the rest looks like! You mean to tell me that you all never researched, analyzed and concluded that your Retention numbers was good(which is the lame excuse I received) prior to dealing with the public. SMH. This is bad business. Poor Corporate Planning!

If it were up to me I’d give them zero stars! My husband and I had booked a cruise and had a dead line to cancel or book a different cruise because timing for the previous cruise was no long going to work. WITHOUT OUR AUTHORIZATION they charged our card and cancelled the cruise pulling out $100. All we saw was the $100 charge and figured well we were planning to cancel so I guess it’s fine. TODAY THEY CHARGED OUR CARD $300 to book another cruise!!! They claim to have put the $100 back because it was voided but went ahead and charged the card $300 without authorization because the last conversation was a “maybe” about booking another cruise! WHO CHARGES SOMEONES CARD WITH A “MAYBE” FROM THE CARD HOLDER ASSUMING IT WAS OK?!?!? And now they’re only giving us $200 back in 7-10 business days! One things for sure, we are NEVER going to book any vacation with them again!!!!

This place is a scam. They use high profile corporate names like American Airlines then don’t stand behind what they advertise. I am also going to take this issue to American Airlines as it makes them look equally bad. They advertised a cruise with perks that included Pre Prepaid gratuities among other things. They charged me a fee for their services then didn’t deliver. They required me to pay the entire cost up front and when I got the email confirmation there was no indication of what was promised. I called and they said they would adjust with the cruise line and provide an update. Instead they had the audacity to call me back and try to milk me for an additional $9 (I had booked a Grand Suite) and put me in a smaller room. Really??? The prepaid gratuity issue is still not resolved. Honestly, the money isn’t even the issue. It’s the principal.
Apparently, they would rather lose a new customer who they can see (by virtue of my cruise line program status is a frequent traveler with luxury spend habits) then take a loss of less than $100 to make good on the advertised perks. For those of you who are smart enough to figure out that this company is not who they claim to be (American Airlines in my case) ……run.
