This is the worst place to put your loved one in, my mom been there for 4 days and she is very unhappy and crying from the way she is been treated, She can not speak English very well and every time I tired to call, they transfer me to the nurse in the second floor and she never answers the phone or she put me on hold and then they hang up. if their was a rating below one star I will give it to this facility

Natalie the receptionist should consider finding a new job that makes her happy. As a receptionist you are the first impression for the company. I work for a providers office and was looking forward to referring patients. I will make sure to avoid referring patients to such environment.

I’m furious! I can’t even begin to explain the mistreatment and abuse that goes on in this facility. This is quite possible the NICEST LOOKING but WORST PLACE you can send a family member.

For your family members sake PLEASE do not send them here.

Quite possibly the worst care that a rehabilitation center can provide. They’re a business like all other businesses and all they care about is their bottom line, not the service they provide (or lack thereof) for the residents. They’re irresponsible and do not care for their patients at all. Highly recommend finding somewhere else.

My father stayed here for 3 months. Initially he was getting his hair cut and shaved, but after a short period of time things started to go downhill. According to Karen (of course she’s a Karen) haircuts and shaves need to be requested, they are not part of the usual treatment. Apparently the same goes for any sort of personal care.

We discussed this with Karen, the Director of Ft Lauderdale Health & Rehab, and requested his records. She came back with a document stating that we would have to waive our rights to pursue any legal action in order to even view the documents.

Karen attempted to defend herself but pretty much admitted that they did not take care of him without saying so. Their “protocols” prevented him from getting the care he so desperately needed.

My mother is 76 and from Japan, so English is her 2nd language. Karen used this to their advantage and attempted to manipulate my mother into agreeing to things she did not understand.

When my father entered the Rehab he was able to walk and exercise daily. During his stay we were told they were working on his leg strength so he could walk better.

He came come on Monday and has an infection from a cut on his leg and elsewhere as he was not cleaned properly at this location. When he left the facility he was completely unable to walk… I now have to carry him from his wheelchair to his bed. He also has signs of bed sores which indicated the staff did not care for him well.

Who goes into a rehab walking and comes out unable to walk!?

Please, do NOT send your family here if you truly want them to get better. This is not a professional facility. It may look nice and the staff may act nice, but the treatment simply isn’t there and your loved one will end up worse off in the end.
