HORRIBLE SERVICE AND PROFESSIONALISM!!!! First they called me an hour prior to my appointment and asked me to come in 15 minutes earlier, which I could not do. When I got there on time for my appointment, they told me that in order to have a proper eye exam (with pupil dilation), it would take too long so I have to come back another day or get a photo scan of my eye which is quicker. I insisted that I wanted dilation as it is a more thorough exam. When I complained, they said they called me to have me come in 15 minutes earlier and I should have as the doctor has to leave early. I inquired why set appointments at the end of the day if they cant meet the obligations. Keep in mind the office closes 1 hour after my eye appointment which is more than enough time. I expressed frustration because I don’t have the time to come back, so the doctor decided to do the eye exam. It lasted 1/5th the time as ALL my previous eye exams, then miraculously I was not a candidate for dilation and the only option was the eye scan. The doctor then gives me the results of the scan within 30 seconds and sent me to the counter to close out. 30 seconds later she rushes out of her office to leave, which was 30 minutes prior to closing, clearly my expeditious eye exam was a result of her having to leave. To top it all off, the dilation exam was covered by my insurance policy, however the scan was not and I was charged $40 for the scan. So at the end, I did not get a proper exam, did not get what I went for and had to pay more for it all in the process. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND PROFESSIONALISM!!!!! I will be filing a complaint to the state board that is in charge of this profession.

This was my first experience using this Costco since moving to the area, and I was very pleased with the quality of exam, frame selection, value and customer service. The retail eyeglass manager (Stacey) in particular, went above and beyond to ensure I was completely satisfied.

I had put off getting a new contact lens exam for quite some time because it had been a pain in the past. Saw Dr. Jowhal and was a great experience. A quick, yet thorough exam, and my contacts fit great on the first shot. The best my vision has been in a while, and it looks like Costco has the best prices for them as well. Only time will tell but initially the Kirkland (Coopervision) lenses seem to be a great option. I’m disappointed I waited this long for something so simple and effective.

Not sure why it took me so long to try the Costco optometrist, but I am so glad I did. Costco optometry is the only place that doesn’t upcharge you a million times before you get out the door. Dr. Jowhal was knowledgeable and efficient. The office got me in and out quickly. With my new Rx in hand, I ordered glasses and paid a fair price. Irving is the best. He knows how to fit you for a great pair of frames for your face and Rx. Thanks Costco!
