Bead and Art Studio

Lovely experience! Co-owners were very kind and helpful. So much selection, it was difficult to choose just a few! Had I been alone, I could’ve searched the store for hours and hours. The beads are stunning and great quality. The store even included beautiful lamp work pieces made by one of the co-owners. I couldn’t wait to start designing, so within two hours, here’s what I’ve created. Overall, excellent store, and I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a bead store.

Bead and Art studio is the place to be. For creativity, supplies and just kind and helpful teaching Bead and Art is where you want to go. They have superb stock, fabulous kits that are fairly priced and plentiful. Their teaching and help is great! A highly recommended bead store .

I had the pleasure of finding this store recently. Today, I took a wire wrapping lesson from Matt. He and his wife own this store. I learned so much from him in just 1 lesson that lasted 2 hours (at a very reasonable price.) If you need lessons in making jewelry, this is the place to go. So knowledgeable, and so very nice. They also have a vast number of supplies.

Bead and Art is definitely one of my go-to places when I’m in town. They have a level of authenticity that’s hard to find nowadays. The owners are very helpful (usually) and their selection of inventory is unmatched in this area. I’ve been there twice in the past week or so, and the first time was a very positive experience. It’s nice when shops like these don’t change. I wouldn’t say the second visit was negative but a huge factor in where I choose to shop is how a business treats its employees. This past time I was at Bead and Art, I overheard one of the owners (Finn) tell an employee “you can argue with me all you want but…” I stopped shopping and turned around to see if she was being serious, she was.

The part that was a little alarming to me was the attitude and tension that could be felt inside the shop while we were there. But also the fact that we were there right around open, and we didn’t stay an obnoxiously long time. I think coaching your employees is something that should be done in private, one can either wait for customers to leave or wait till later and talk in the back or at closing.

For me, this is a factor when deciding if I’m going to drive somewhere or buy online, especially when I know that the online price is significantly better. It’s not the ONLY factor. Of course convenience is huge, here you get your product NOW. But it’s something I consider when I make that choice.
