I have no confidence in the CC police dept. I wouldn’t call them if somebody broke the law right in front of me. They will do nothing. They will probably believe the lawbreaker….It’s not worth the aggravation. They forget who pays them!

You can find City hall located on the corner of Copans Rd. and Lyons. I was here on an early Saturday morning for the city’s annual annual Arbor Day tree give away. You get a tree and two plants which is an over $100 value for free. All you need to show is your Coconut Creek address on your driver’s license. This year I picked a star fruit tree but they had at least 8 other choices of trees. City Hall is made up of three buildings on the right side of the property. There is the commissioners buildings where you have to appear if you have been summoned, the actual city hall where you can get a passport, and the police station. In front of the buildings is beautifully landscaped butterfly garden befitting our city’s title as butterfly capital. The whole property is very picturesque with a water feature and tall palm trees. There is even a butterfly sculpture facing Copans Road. The left side of the property has a police administration building that does finger printing and back ground checks for city employees. I think the government complex for Coconut Creek is exceptionally pretty. They did a fantastic job on the landscaping. The only drawback is the parking lot is somewhat small so when there is a big event like the tree giveaway it can be difficult to find a parking place.

My wife and I applied for passports there recently and were quite pleased with the experience. The staff were friendly and gracious. There was one couple ahead of us, so we were offered to wait in a very comfortable and scenic waiting area. The wait was brief. The person that assisted us was courteous, competent, and amiable. The service was quick and easy. We were very happy with the experience. I strongly recommend them.
