A great company to work for! Been here many years and love what I do!
The agency’s main focus is the well being of the children and families in our communities. We provide extraordinary services.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the knowledge taught. Mrs. Maureen is a great teacher, she makes teaching understandable for everyone, very blessfull, I enjoyed meeting with the peers as well as the staff. Again, thank you and may God bless you.

I have dealt with several different departments and have always had a good to great experience. I have worked with them professionally as a teacher and as a parent through the VPK program. My experience is the staff really cares about making a difference.

Family Central is a good program as far as parents not being able to afford childcare and needing some assistance. But there is a lot of headache that comes along with the help. Family Central does not communicate well to their clients. Without notice, you will lose your child care services, then a month later, once the daycare has been contacted by Family Central that your services were terminated, you are now slapped with a month of full tuition fees owed. This can range from $400 – $600, depending on what age and daycare your child attends. I know to most parents, this is what you have to pay on a normal basis, but to some of us single mothers/fathers who need the assistance, this is financially devastating. I am currently dealing with this situation, for the 2nd time. The first time I ended up owing $600, now this time I owe $472. My file was given to a new caseworker ( I’ve had so many, I’ve lost count), this new caseworker did not contact me by phone, via email or US mail to notify me that I had an appointment with her and that my childcare was ending soon. Now, a month later, I get an email from my caseworker telling me my childcare ended last month… I’ve called her several times, left voice mails, emails and even contacted her supervisor, whom was also not available, so I left several more voice mails..all to no avail. I understand I am fortunate to get the assistance that not everyone is able to, but if you are a company aimed at helping individuals/families with childcare so we can get off welfare and back to work, then do your job so we don’t have to lose our jobs due to not being able to afford having childcare and having to be stay at home parents back on welfare.
