I’m from out of state (NC) and am down for 6 weeks with quad Yamaha XTO’s with 200hours on them. Called for 100 hour service and they said “we are four weeks out”. I told them tats fine, I can wait. Then I asked if they will do the in-water oil and gear case service and he said they cannot accommodate boats over “about 37’” – my boat is 50’. I asked if they could do the service at my dock, which is just 5 minutes away from them, and I would be willing to pay whatever they needed extra for that service. He said “we don’t do that except for our Grady White’s, it’s company policy”. I reiterated I was will to pay them what they needed, and at an extended timeframe, and he declined. Pretty poor show for a Yamaha dealer to decline a customer who puts price secondary to service, especially when Yamaha designed a motor to be serviced in-water for this exact scenario (large outboard boats where hauling them is not possible).

“Go Away” — “We don’t value patronage” ————- I had 6 employees today refuse to help – refuse to ask what I needed – refuse simple business – Had my mask, had my money, had even part numbers … nope … if you don’t call on the phone — they won’t talk to you. ——- SO I EFT and spent $130. down the road across the counter at Boat Owners Warehouse.
