First of all they are suppose to check all your belongings when you get there. They allowed me to leave with narcotics in my pocketbook which was NOT good. Then they agreed to a price before I got there and charged my card an extra thousand dollars. Since I got there after 6 at night and I told them they over charged the girl told me they would fix it in the morning. I was only there 4 days and told someone about it 3 times they are thieves

Dirty… Lousy food… They kicked me out mid treatment because my insurance denied my coverage.

I was at Sunrise a couple months ago. It has several things going for it. The place is clean, nice rooms. They have quite decent, often very good food. Even more, they treated me like I was a real human being; not a number or a derelict. They kept tract of all my medicines and detoxed me professionally. I even managed to have some fun playing board games with another patient. Also, I saw a strange woodpecker species outside the window one afternoon. Random thing to add, I know, but I took it as a good omen. Sunrise is at the very least decent, and the counselors and doctor actually seemed to care. I trust this place. You can much worse, that I know.

I can not express how much I’ve been effected by what I have seen and heard from the patients who have passed through the doors during my stay. It was unknown to me, the extent of people’s suffering and despair due to addiction. There will never be another day of my life that I fail to forget, or to thank God for opening my eyes. The time here has bound me to never drinking again, and to complete my degree so that I may enter the field of substance abuse counseling. All because of this little building, and of course, the wonderful staff that help make it work. I commend them for their kindness, professionalism, concern, respect, and dedication. Although they can not help those who aren’t ready to accept it, their successes far outweigh the failures. It has been my pleasure to have interacted with them, and I offer my sincere thanks for being a part of my journey.
