After 10 years as an Army Helicopter pilot with my commercial and instrument ratings, I decided to make the leap to Airplanes with my private pilot license. After considering many competing companies in the area, I decided to go with AF because or their long standing reputation as a professional organization, many locations throughout the US, and their clearly planned programs especially for my unique situation. Amos is a fantastic instructor. He is patient, extremely knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about his students. The maintenance team is highly skilled and maintains the fleet at a superior level. My aircraft was always fueled, inspections current, and ready to go before every flight. The operations staff communicated well and always tried to accommodate my schedule. They knew me by my first name and always were professional in appearance and demeanor. I was more than prepared for my check ride with the DPE and was so happy to finish this rating in 16 days! The staff made me always feel like i was the most important person there. I was even able to sit with the school director and map out future training to continue with my comercial airplane ratings. Hope to be back to AF soon to continue my professional aviation training.

If only they won’t disrupt my entire Zoom class every freaking minute it would be considerate. Always knew it was bad, but its gotten worse. Ridiculous that as a resident you can’t teach a 1.15 hr class without all that darn noise directly overhead. Good freaking riddance!

I was an on-and-off student pilot for years. I finally decided to finish up my PPL with American Flyers Pompano Beach “finish up” program (part 61.) The operation was amazingly efficient. The scheduling was perfect. My instructors were professional, competent, and effective. AFPB really did make me a much better pilot. I scored 93 on my written and the check ride was a breeze. About 25 hours total at AFPB. I recommend their program greatly. I also took a PPL ground school that was a real benefit. All in all, I will complete my instrument ticket there. Very satisfied. * Note, they have brand new Piper Pilot 100i planes (5 of them) with modern G3X avionics. Really stable, safe platforms. They also have Cessna 172s (not my preference) so they have both wing high and low. I loved the Pipers. Pompano airport is really good to train at. 3 runways mean fewer weather cancellations due to wind. Tower is accommodating. All in all, 5 Stars, and two thumbs up.

This is a very professional and wonderful place to do Flight Training. Everybody is helpful, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I love how they take time to help you fully understand the concepts and not just teach you material.
I would highly recommend them to anyone that’s looking to get a pilot’s license.
